The POWER4BIO project was launched on 1 October 2018 with the aim of empowering regional stakeholders to boost the transition towards bioeconomy regions in Europe. It assists to develop necessary tools, instruments, guidance and implement sound sustainable bioeconomy strategies. Our Community can thereby provide valuable opportunities for cooperation among the stakeholders, which can contribute to boost the transition of traditional economy towards circular bioeconomy in the European regions.

To this effect, the AKI – Research Institute of Agricultural Economics and EPC – Project Corporation Climate. Sustainability. Communications. mbH invited relevant stakeholders all over Europe to participate in an e-conference. The goals of the e-conference were to assess the current situation of the bio-based economy in the European Union, and to establish a Europe-wide Community. The stakeholders were encouraged to share their opinion and gain more information about bioeconomy, in order to put the stakeholders in contact with each other.

The e-conference was focused on four different thematic areas, and 4 thematic surveys were circulated in March, each for one week. We want to thank all stakeholders who participated in the e-conference for their contribution, their answers will help us in achieving our common goals.
